Aurora, a migraine diary for iPhone and Apple Watch
Record an attack in one tap when you can barely look at a screen. Fill in the details later. Aurora counts medication days, adds weather and pressure, and turns your entries into a report your neurologist can read in a few minutes.
Free to download. iOS 18 and watchOS 11 or later. English and Russian.

One tap to record an attack. Details can wait.

Attack days, medication and cycle on one calendar.

Triggers are reported only when the statistics support them.

A PDF report for your neurologist, for 30 to 365 days.
During an attack
- Log an attack, an early warning sign (prodrome) or a dose from the widget or the Apple Watch. Attacks and early warning signs can also be logged by asking Siri.
- Migraine mode: a black screen at low brightness for logging in a dark room.
- When you log a medicine, Aurora flags known drug interactions. The warning does not block the entry.
Between attacks
- Medication overuse. Days with each type of medicine are counted in a rolling 30-day window against the ICHD-3 limits of 10 and 15 days. How the count works.
- Menstrual migraine. Aurora classifies attacks against the ICHD-3 menstrual window and forecasts the risk window 48 hours ahead. About menstrual migraine.
- Triggers. A case-crossover analysis compares each attack day with your own control days and corrects for multiple comparisons. A trigger is shown only when the data support it, with a 95% confidence interval.
- Weather and pressure. Barometric pressure is recorded with each entry and tested as a trigger. About pressure and headache.
- Chronic migraine. At 15 or more headache days a month for three months, the app switches to a daily pain scale and counts headache-free days.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Medicines you log are checked against pregnancy safety information and the LactMed database.

Who Aurora is not for
Aurora is a self-tracking app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose or prescribe. It is not designed for children under 14, for cluster headache, or for tension-type headache without migraine features.
